I do love the Skyy Vodka jewellery, and this set in particular really shows off the amazing colour of this glass.

It’s the last weekend of the school holidays and I am making a few beads this morning before we spend the rest of the afternoon swimming! Our kids have loved swimming over the school holidays, so we are going to make the most of this amazing sunny afternoon.
My youngest starts kindy this year, so things are (once again), going to be a bit different around here. I’ll have a little bit more time for me. I’m not sure yet what I am going to do with that time yet! But I’m sure it won’t take long to get into the swing of the new routine.
Whenever I make sets of necklaces and earrings, I often make extra beads – just in case! And then the result of all of those extra beads is shown in the photograph below – lots of beads!
Today I am going to sort through them so I can use them. I’m not exactly sure yet what the best way of sorting them is, but I think I’ll have some fun trying.
I wear a lot of black and white, and often I’ll throw some red into the mix. I like those colours, for me they are simple and I can usually wear any jewellery to complement it.
Usually, my jewellery would be red!
For some reason yesterday, that was just not enough colour for me. So I ended up making some necklaces with all sorts of colours in them. They are bright, cheerful and eye-catching. They also made me smile whenever I walked past a mirror and caught my reflection!
I always think that January will be a quiet month for me….but it never is. After a bit of time spent tidying up and cleaning my studio, it’s back into orders as the shops that sell my work restock after Christmas and ready for Valentine’s Day.
I’m not sure if it’s because of the heat, or maybe it’s just the season….but green jewellery is really popular at the moment.
…to everyone who gives me their old bottles, I say a big thank you to you all! It’s easy to put something in the bin, but it takes a lot more effort to stop and put the bottle aside, and to make sure I get it at some stage. For all of you who make that effort, I am truly grateful.
Remember last year, when I showed you the farm glass that someone had given me so that I could make them some special necklaces? Well, here are a couple of necklaces that I made with the glass. It was such a lovely glass to work with, and I wanted to stay as close to the original colours s possible. I like the mix of colours and shapes in these necklaces.
Oh well, I guess there was always going to come a time when I had to really get back on the torch and start making beads! Today is the day that I get back into it. I have spent the morning cleaning away the remains of 2016, and this afternoon I’ll hope to spend as much time as possible making beads.
I have just listed some new Peroni beer bottle jewellery. Both my Etsy shop and my online shop have been updated with new products. I love the Peroni beer bottle colour. It’s not quite the Pantone 2017 colour of the year, but it’s close, and it has a real vibrancy and freshness to it.
