Green Depression Glass Earrings

Green Depression Glass Earrings

Green Depression Glass! What can I say? It was the first “recycled” glass that I used to make beads, and it’s still one of my all time favourites. I love the history, the colour and the beautiful way it melts. I also love this review that was recently left for me on Etsy, where lots… Read More

Glass bead jewellery featuring freshwater pearls

glass bead jewellery

I have a feeling I will be using pearls again this year! I love the extra colour in these pieces from the freshwater pearls. This jewellery is heading to @stationmaster5255 gallery in Strathalbyn in the next couple of days. One of my favourite places to go for a coffee and a wander through the galleries… Read More

Getting some new necklaces ready for @stationmaster5255 gallery in Strathalbyn. This necklace features blue beads made from vodka, wine, gin and tonic bottles. I love how the new Citadelle beads work in beautifully with the other blue beads.

Citadelle Gin bottle jewellery collection

gin bottle jewellery

From bottle, to broken glass, to beads, to earrings! It’s quite a process to go from a discarded bottle to a beautiful pair of earrings, but it’s worth the effort when the glass is as lovely as the Citadelle gin bottle. I have just launched a collection of jewellery on my Etsy site, and as… Read More

Hello! Welcome!

making glass beads

Hello! I thought it might be nice to introduce myself for the start of a new year. I am Julie and I started making jewellery when I left school. That was 30 years ago, and although I did try to stop once, when I lived in London for a couple of years, it wasn’t long… Read More

New gin and tonic earrings

gin and tonic earrings

These new gin and tonic earrings are really sweet, a lovely pop of colour, and slightly shorter than other pairs at just 4cm long. Made from Citadelle, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, Hendrick’s Summer Solstice and Hendrick’s Gin bottles, combined with Fever-Tree tonic bottles. This collection will be heading to @pepper_street_arts_centre for their “reuse” exhibition.

Custom Orders

gin bottle jewellery

I love making special orders for people. One of my lovely customers saw the Citadelle Gin collection recently, and asked for a set to be made like this! I really love how this turned out with the shiny/matt contrast in the beads.

Long Recycled Glass Bead Necklaces

Long recycled glass bead necklaces

Four long necklaces featuring a mix of handmade recycled glass beads will be heading to @pepper_street_arts_centre in February. I have loved making this range of necklaces, they are such an easy style to wear, and being able to wear them layered two or three times means you essentially get a different necklace for different occasions.… Read More
