Etsy sale

It’s time for me to wind things up on Etsy. I am offering 10% discount on the listings that are still there. Free shipping. Once they are gone, they are gone, and that’s the end of an era for me!

Murray Bridge Show

Alas, first place eluded me this year at the Murray Bridge Show, but I was happy with 2nd and 3rd prize! Swipe through to see the necklace that I also entered that didn’t get a prize!

Making something for myself…

Sometimes it’s just nice to be able to make something special for myself! I wanted a necklace I could wear with anything. This necklace features Trade Beads that I bought in America when I was there over 15 years ago. In between are some of my favourite beads from my recent SALA exhibition. Can’t wait… Read More

Making old things new

I took the neoprene from the original necklace, and mixed the yellow/grey/green tone beads from both collections to make this very versatile long necklace that you can wear as two or three layers. Something new from something old.

Making old things new again – step 1

First step is taking it all apart and seeing what’s there. I really like the yellow, green and grey beads…and that‘s where I think I might start.

Making old things new again

Sometimes things don’t sell, or they break when they get dropped in a shop and can’t be sold. I have a small collection of work that fits into these categories, sitting here waiting for inspiration to strike. Yesterday I noticed these pieces, and I started wondering what I could do with them. Stay tuned….

Red Glass Bead Bracelet

Another bracelet ready to go to @tartscollective this weekend. I am heading to Adelaide soon, going to visit some of my favourite places including the Art Gallery! I am looking forward to seeing the Yayoi Kusama exhibition. I love how she uses dots in her artwork. Dots are one of my favourite glass bead-making techniques.

A celebration of spring

A celebration of spring on a winters day here, I am hopeful of warmer weather rolling in soon, longer days and flowers blooming. But for now, this bracelet. I am making a small collection of assorted bracelets to take to @tartscollective at some stage over the weekend.

Red and blue bracelet

I have quite a selection of beads leftover from my SALA exhibition and I am starting to make some new bracelets with them. I love the mix of reds and blues in this one.

Birds with red wings

Happiness for the first official day of spring! These little birds with red wings were inspired by the Peace Window at All Souls Church where I have just packed up my SALA exhibition! Another wonderful opportunity, thank you @salafestival for providing artists with an opportunity to share their work.
