Day 136. These colours were calling out to be used today. I particularly love the mismatched earrings! The necklace is quite dramatic with the contrasting colours, but I like how it has come together. Old beads, new ideas. Happy days and sunshine.

Day 135. I used to make a lot of beads from filigrano Italian glass. It gave a really great effect with the clear and coloured glass. Not sure why I stopped, I guess I started doing something else with glass. It’s funny how looking back at my old beads makes me think of new ideas. I like how these earrings have come together with these beads made from wine bottles and decorated with gold pixie dust.

Day 134. Classic red, white and blue.

Day 133. Pink and purple with a pop of orange. The bracelet inspired the earrings today!

Day 132. Checking to see how my other favourite shape for earrings works with the freshwater pearls…definitely works. Love the colour of these recycled glass beads made from a Skyy Vodka bottle.

Day 131. I played with yesterday’s design a little bit to create a slight longer, more dangly earring with a square hook. Today’s green bead was made from a @bethanywines_barossa Chardonnay bottle.

Day 130. Combining two of my favourite things today…freshwater pearls and Hendricks Gin Limited Release recycled glass beads. Every time I think that I will use this particular shape of bead to make earrings I think to myself “you should make more like this.” It is such an elegant shape for earrings.

Day 129. Darker pearls paired back with sparkling silver recycled wine bottle beads.

Day 128. Beautiful grey pearls! Love how they look with the @bethanywines_barossa wine bottle beads. Perfect for a dressed up date night! The necklace is a mix of wine bottle beads and freshwater pearls.

Day 127. I’ve had this seed of an idea in my mind for a few months now, and I was just about to start making it happen when everything basically got shut down, and I didn’t have the energy for it. But, I feel like there is a light starting to glow at the end of this rather challenging tunnel, and I am working on this idea again. The beads in these earrings and bracelet were made from @bethanywines_barossa wine bottles. I have added some freshwater pearls into the mix, and I especially love how the bracelet turned out. Will definitely be making more.
