Day 44. I made this to match yesterday’s earrings. Featuring beads made from Hendrick’s Gin bottles, and silver links made by me, I really love how this one sits on the wrist. And…so happy to be out of lockdown, well done SA.

Day 43. A little bit of sparkle for the last day of lockdown here in South Australia! These beads were made from a Hendrick’s Gin bottle. I have recently seen a new Hendrick’s gin being promoted that looks like it’s in a dark blue bottle!!! I can’t wait to visit a bottle shop to see if that is really true. Has anyone else seen it yet?

Day 42. I hope everyone is OK if they are in lockdown, nearly finished for some of us. I have to confess I didn’t mind having to stay home on the weekend, it was miserable here. Anyway, I had some chain leftover, so I thought another pair of earrings would be fun. The beads have been made from a Banrock Station wine bottle and decorated with smashed up glass. Long, dangly, swingy and fun!

Day 41. I had a request for the earrings from yesterday, but with a bright yellow bead. A delightful pop of colour on a grey and windy day here.

Day 40. Long, dangly earrings, inspired by The Bachelor. The beads were made from a Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice gin bottle. I might even have to wear these out when we get out of lockdown!

Day 39. More earrings inspired by The Bachelor! Dangly earrings made from recycled glass beads: Citadelle Gin, Banrock Station, Bombay Sapphire Gin and Skyy Vodka.

Day 38. So it’s day 2 of lockdown here, and I have been reading, crocheting, and watching The Bachelor!! I didn’t mean to, but I was flicking through tv stations, and when I saw the earrings that some of the girls were wearing I knew I had to stop and check them all out. And wow, there were some amazing and incredibly long earrings being worn, I loved it. Inspired by that, I made this pair of earrings featuring small beads made from a Bombay Sapphire Gin bottle.

Day 37. Another mandala. It’s a weird time here in South Australia again. Galleries closed. Schools closed. So many things cancelled. It’s difficult to process. I have found my mandala colouring books, and spending time trying to not think about things too much.

Day 36. Today I made a mandala! Lately I have been drawing and colouring in mandalas, and today I thought I would try making one with beads. Loved doing this.

Day 35. Finished the last pair of earrings today! Gosh, they POP! I ended up making 14 pairs of earrings for the SALA exhibition at @tartscollective and can’t wait to see what the other artists have created for this year’s theme of “Birds of a Feather”.
