I have thoroughly enjoyed every part of this years SALA exhibition. From planning and designing, to making beads and jewellery, and then displaying my work in the beautiful All Souls Church in St Peters. I hope you have had a chance to see the exhibition, it closes on Sunday and the final part of the process will be packing up and seeing what has sold and what is left to take to @tartscollective !
A long necklace featuring beads from my 1,000 glass beads project, all of them have a red aspect to them. Love the versatility of this style. My SALA exhibition closes Sunday at 4pm. I hope you have had a chance to see the beautiful church it is happening in. Big thank you to All Souls Church for the amazing venue.
A massive thank you to everyone who visited the SALA exhibition at All Souls Church yesterday. It was so lovely to connect with so many people and talk about my 1000 glass bead adventure! Thanks to the church for one of the nicest exhibition openings I have ever attended. An honour to have my work displayed next to Eamonn Vereker! The exhibition is open at various times for the next two weeks. I will be back again on August 28 from 1-4.
Japan is definitely on my list of countries I would like to visit. Their attention to detail in their craft is exquisite and I admire many Japanese bead makers. On Monday we said goodbye to the Japanese exchange student we hosted for the past couple of weeks. We had such a great time showing her the beautiful parts of the state we live in. I am now head down finishing my SALA exhibition! It opens Saturday at 2.00pm, not long now.
And the second necklace that I made at @tartscollective on Saturday. Lots of lovely greens and blues in a mix of recycled and Italian glass.
