Love making these twistie beads! It’s fun twisting hot glass together, always amazes me what you can do with glass!

Adding some more colourful beads to the red collection this morning. Total is now 472. Nearly halfway there! At times I am not sure why I decided to make 1000 beads, but then there are moments on the torch when I try something slightly different and I think that creative freedom is the reason for the challenge. I mean…I have to make 1000 beads, I might as well try some new things!

Hoping for the best….but not getting it! Worth a try. You never know, although there are often some tell-tale signs. The glass was kind of scratched on this bottle, and it changed colour as soon as it was warmed up. Thanks for the donation, happy to give them a go.

Adding to the collection of red glass beads! Total is now 411 and I am starting to feel like I might actually get this done. Thinking about what to make next. 589 to go!

Finding a nice mix of red semi-precious beads to add to the jewellery I am making for my @salafestival exhibition in August.

In my happy place at @tartscollective today. All re-stocked with a mix of my jewellery made from handmade Italian and recycled glass beads.

I love that red and purple are colours that work well with so many other colours, making this a bracelet that can be worn over and over again.

I haven’t made any jewellery with the red collection of beads yet, I think I will wait until the total gets closer to 1000. Luckily I have lots of other beads already made and ready to make jewellery. It was nice to put a few pieces together over the weekend, getting ready for my next @tartscollective shift.

Added another 70 beads to the collection this morning! I now have 250. That is a quarter of my way to my goal of making 1000 glass beads for this @salafestival exhibition! So far it’s has been fun and I still have lots of ideas for beads, phew.
