Change One Thing

Change One Thing. The final necklace in the series. A simple change to the wine bottle beads by adding some coloured frit to the beads…a completely different necklace.

What can you change to have an impact on climate change? Can you use reusable containers like drink bottles or take away coffee cups?

Change One Thing

Change One Thing. Change the shape of the bead for a completely different necklace. Beads made from a Banrock Station wine bottle.

There are lots of simple changes you can make to have an impact on climate change. You can’t do everything, but you can change one thing. Can you buy some things second hand? I am going op-shopping tomorrow morning, hoping to find a pair of jeans. Hoping to save clothes from landfill and save money too. Wins all round.

Change One Thing

Change One Thing. A single change of beads, another completely different necklace. This time swapping the mixture of beer and wine bottle beads to just wine bottle beads with the same shape.

What one thing can you change to have an impact on climate change? Can Meatless Monday be your thing? Can you swap plastic wrap for a more sustainable option?

Change One Thing

Change One Thing. The beads in the first necklace are made from Coopers Pale Ale beer bottles. I changed one thing in the second necklace, adding some Banrock Station Wine bottle beads in between for a completely different necklace.

What one thing could you change to have an impact on climate change? Could you reduce food waste? Could you start a compost heap?

Change One Thing

Two beer bottle necklaces finished for a special project I have been working on for the past few months. I love that both necklaces are the same length, both are made from beer bottles, both have tiny silver spacers in between…but both look so very different. And all I changed was the shape of the bead!

It’s the start of a series of work titled “Change One Thing” and it’s a conversation about what we can change about our lives that might have an impact on climate change. Can you turn the power points off at night time? Can you walk instead of driving? Can you think of where you can make a change?

We may not be able to do everything to help reduce our impact on climate change…but we can do something. What is one thing you could change today? Would love to hear from you.

Beer bottle beads

Working on a special project at the moment that involves making beads from beer and wine bottles. Thanks to Finn for taking some photos while I was doing that today. Can’t wait to share more of what I have been up to.
