I am given all sorts of broken and old glass objects, and I was curious to see what would happen with this chipped purple cup! It definitely stayed purple, although a slightly different shade after being in the flame 🔥
It was a bit of a gloomy and wet day in the Barossa yesterday, but it was lovely to stop in at @bethanywines_barossa where the fire was burning and I had a chance to top up my display of jewellery there. I love using their wine bottles to make beads.
Japan has been on my bucket list for a very long time, so when I finally booked a trip (next year, can’t wait) I celebrated by indulging in some Japanese Sake. And then I made these earrings as a reminder to myself that it’s up to me to make sure my bucket list gets ticked off! What’s on your bucket list?
I love trying new glass bottles to see how they turn out. I was really intrigued by this colour as I don’t think I have seen anything like it. It’s a bit darker than the Banrock Station blue (see last photo). I actually really like this colour, but it works better making smaller beads than larger ones. Super satisfying!
If you have a chance to visit our exhibition at Gallery M you will see a small collection of flower jewellery made by me. For some reason I forgot to take photos of the jewellery! There are art works from many other @tartscollective members too. Our last hurrah for our 21st birthday!
The bottles from @bethanywines_barossa come in a beautiful range of colours, which means I can make necklaces with a lovely mix of colours for them. Looking forward to a day trip to the Barossa to restock very soon.
New flower earrings and necklaces are available in my Etsy shop until Saturday, after that they will be available at @tartscollective. I am looking forward to my day in the shop and putting new things on display there!
