I have decided that this summer will be the Summer of Gin! I enjoyed a gin and tonic at a little cocktail bar in Adelaide last night, and marvelled at all of the different gin and tonic options! Might be time to try some of my own concoctions at home. Gin and tonic earrings are proving to be very popular gifts again this year, with lots of earrings ordered online heading out this afternoon. Any favourite gin and tonic cocktail recipes out there? Would love to hear them.
I feel very honoured when people ask me to make special pieces of jewellery for them. I love making custom orders and happy to discuss your ideas for a custom piece of jewellery. These earrings were made from a Hendrick’s Midsummer Solstice gin bottle.
Before and After! A lady came into @tartscollective last week and said she had sadly lost one half of her favourite pair of earrings. She showed the remaining half to me and I told her that I had made them (see left hand side). I could tell they were many years old because I don’t use hooks like that any more, and I don’t finish earrings at the bottom like that anymore either. I tried a couple of different green glass rods, and couldn’t get an exact match, but this one was very close (right hand side) I love helping people find their favourite pair of earrings!
I am excited to let you know about two markets that I will be doing before Christmas this year. The first one is in Murray Bridge. It is on Sunday November 14 and will showcase handmade products on Sixth Street near the @murraybridgeregionalgallery . It will run from 10am until 3pm. The second market will be on Sunday December 5 at Crafers Institute. The @thelastofthecreatives market will run from 9am until 1pm and will feature a range of products at special pre-Christmas prices. Hope to see you at one or the other!
