All cleaned and ready to go! Now to make some jewellery for the newsletter I will be sending out later this week.

Some interesting beads came out of the kiln today! I am really liking these muted colours and can’t wait to clean them all and start making jewellery. I am working on a small collection of pieces for my next newsletter which will go out towards the end of the week. Have you subscribed?

When I started my #makingitthroughwinter2021 challenge, I had the idea it should last for 100 days, even though by then winter would be well and truly over! And now that I have made it through winter, things are getting busier, so while I didn’t end up doing 100 days, I did make it through winter. I enjoyed the daily challenge, however I am now ready to finish it, and move back to making at a slightly different pace, and for slightly different reasons. I am still making new things, and will post when I get the time to do that. Thanks for cheering me through winter.

Day 86. It’s official, I sent my first Christmas order out! It should definitely get there on time. Has anyone else started Christmas shopping? I tend to be last minute with mine. Anyway, this bracelet is made from some beads leftover from a recent batch of recycled glass earring orders.

Day 85. Fresh out the kiln this morning. New beads, new ideas, new shapes, new colours…can’t wait to make more of these beads for some bracelet and necklace ideas I have pictured in my head.

Day 84. Simple and sweet earrings today. Beads made from Bethany Wine bottles.

Day 83. Working on some orders this afternoon and spotted these beads made from Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray gin bottles, and thought they might look nice together. Indeed they do 🌟

Day 82. Sitting here posting another rainbow bracelet and looking at a rainbow in my backyard. It has been a cold, wet and windy spring day here today. Perfect for doing nothing much at all.

Day 81. Have to confess one of my favourite things to do is look through the boxes (and boxes) of beads I have made, looking for new combinations of beads. It is such a lovely mindfulness activity, no other thoughts involved, just the beads. This is what I found today.

Day 79 and 80. Yesterday I made the most of the first day of warm spring weather and spent time outside. It was an incredibly beautiful day, and I felt so happy that winter was officially behind us for another year! This morning I woke up thinking about the beads I made the other day and wondering about adding some pearls to the mix to make a bracelet. I love how this one sits on the wrist, and loving the soft, muted colours.
