Perfect Mother’s Day gift

moet champagne glass earrings

Could this be the perfect Mother’s Day gift for your mum? A pair of earrings made from a Moët champagne bottle, along with a small bottle of Chambord Black Raspberry liqueur so your mum can make a fancy champagne cocktail next time she has a glass of bubbles? I know my mum prefers gin and tonic, but I would love this as a present! Now how will I get my kids to look at my social media 😛!

Necklace Designs

I usually start sketching my ideas for new jewellery so I can get a feel for things. Then I will take some existing beads and do a bit of a prototype. This helps me work out if what is in my head is actually going to work or not, and what else I need to think about. I think I need to let this one sit for a couple of days before I go back to it.

Italian glass colours

One of the many things I love about using Italian glass to make beads is the amazing range of colours that are available. It was hard to narrow it down to these 10 gorgeous colours for the Kandinsky Concentric Circles beads that I am getting stuck into making this week, but fingers crossed this selection will make some colourful beads indeed!

Art Innovations Gallery in Tanunda

This was very exciting today! I had a lovely drive to the Barossa Valley to set up a display of my recycled glass jewellery in a brand new gallery! Art Innovations Gallery opened over the weekend, and is a beautiful gallery space in Murray Street Tanunda. They have a lovely range of art in the gallery, something for everyone! Check them out next time you are in the Barossa.

Kandinsky Necklace

Kandinsky Necklace

Remember the Kandinsky beads I posted recently? I thought I would try making a necklace with the test beads that I made, and I thought I would make it in my favourite style so I could also keep it! Can’t wait to wear this one, lots of gorgeous colour.

Kandinsky Concentric Circles

Kandinsky concentric circles

I was planning on keeping the opaque and the clear beads as separate collections, but when I put them together while I was taking photos the other day it made me think….maybe? Anyway, we will see, still playing with ideas.
