These new gin and tonic earrings are really sweet, a lovely pop of colour, and slightly shorter than other pairs at just 4cm long. Made from Citadelle, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, Hendrick’s Summer Solstice and Hendrick’s Gin bottles, combined with Fever-Tree tonic bottles. This collection will be heading to @pepper_street_arts_centre for their “reuse” exhibition.
I love making special orders for people. One of my lovely customers saw the Citadelle Gin collection recently, and asked for a set to be made like this! I really love how this turned out with the shiny/matt contrast in the beads.
Four long necklaces featuring a mix of handmade recycled glass beads will be heading to @pepper_street_arts_centre in February. I have loved making this range of necklaces, they are such an easy style to wear, and being able to wear them layered two or three times means you essentially get a different necklace for different occasions. I can’t wait to check out the “reuse” exhibition and see what other artists are recycling/upcycling.

The earrings on the right are 4cm long, which is a bit shorter than my regular length. These earrings feature beads that I have made from Tanqueray Gin and Fever Tree tonic bottles. I am working on finishing the other flavours!

I made a book! I wasn’t planning to do this, but when an ad popped up for an app that printed photo books it did make me think how it’s nice to scroll through Instagram and see all of the photos of earrings, but it could be really nice to see the whole year printed in a book! I set to work, adding pictures, deciding on layout and colours, and then this book arrived yesterday! I have to say I am very impressed with how easy it was to make (thanks @popsa), and I am thrilled with how nice it feels to hold and look through this book filled with a year of my glass earrings. A lovely memory from a challenging year.
Love the flexibility of these new necklaces. This one is slightly longer, and can be worn doubled, tripled or even four times around! All the beads are from a mix of recycled glass objects. Heading to @pepper_street_arts_centre for the “reuse” exhibition starting in February.
Making some test beads and earrings from the Citadelle Gin bottle. These beads have been decorated with blue/purple “frit” and fine silver wire, and work really nicely with the blue of the bottle. Happy!
