Day 168. I thought I would try these beads with pearls, and I think it works really nicely, especially in the bracelet.

Day 167. Lucky me, I found these beads in my stash today and love how they turned out. I like how the touch of brown makes these mismatched earrings really interesting.

Day 166. Yes I did try a couple of new gins last night! One was from Renmark (23rd Street distillery) and the other was from Margaret River (Giniversity). It never ceases to surprise me how different gins and different tonics and different garnishes can add up to create a completely new gin experience. The beads in these earrings are from Fever Tree and Hendricks Limited Release bottles.

Day 165. Happy World Gin Day! Yes, it’s definitely a thing. There are so many delicious gins out there now, and so many of them come in beautiful bottles. Today’s earrings feature beads made from Fever-Tree tonic and Bombay Sapphire Gin bottles. What’s your favourite gin? My current favourite is Hendricks Limited Release in the purple bottle. Delicious. Cheers.

Day 164. More ocean wave beads, this time in a different colour and a different earring hook.

Day 163. Inspired by my day at the beach on the weekend. I remembered a time when I made wave beads, so I had a little play with them again and voila…wave bead earrings and a pendant. Fun to take an old idea and have another play with it.

Day 162. Recently I have had several enquires about smaller, daintier earrings. It made me wonder if this was something other people would also like? I have a bunch of these lever-back earrings, and I am planning to make a range of smaller earrings. Let me know if this is something you might like. The beads in this pair of earrings were made from a wine bottle.

Day 161. A variation on yesterday’s earrings, and a bracelet! I love the shape of these beads, and when they are etched they are so smooth and lovely to wear in a bracelet. The little pop of blue adds to the finished pieces.

Day 160. Yesterday I went to the beach and filled up on fish and chips, fresh sea air, and some colour inspiration. Today when it was time to make a pair of earrings, I decided to try something different by turning the big bead upside down. Yes, just a simple 180 degrees and I feel excited to make earrings again. I needed that little break. A long walk and crashing waves and I feel reenergised. Ready for the next 206 days 🙂

Day 159. At times I find myself slightly disinterested in my daily earring challenge. It’s another thing I have to do every day, and it’s definitely challenging at times! But today I sat down and made these earrings with a different attitude. Today I sat down and just decided to just make a pair of earrings. I had an idea and I was curious to try it out. It didn’t have to be amazing or perfect, and it doesn’t have to be something I ever make again. But…it was good to try something, it was good to make a pair of earrings. I enjoyed the process today.
