A new recycled glass necklace at @bethanywines_barossa. This necklace features copper enamel tubes and beads made from one of their wine bottles decorated with smashed up glass that has been melted in.

Starting with earrings. I have made four different styles of earrings here. All of them featuring a bead made from a @bethanywines_barossa wine bottle. The enamel copper tubes look so colourful and pretty. Hard to pick a favourite, but the bottom left pair is my current fave.

It’s an incredibly slow and complex process to enamel these copper tubes, but it’s always worth it. Making some new recycled glass jewellery for @bethanywines_barossaas they celebrate Vintage Festival next week.

I have just finished 100 days of making a piece of recycled glass jewellery every day and I have found the past 100 days to be seriously amazing. There have been days when I had no idea what to make, and after I have sat down I have been surprised by what I have made! There have been days when I have been frustrated by glass and days when I have been thrilled! But today seems like a good day to take a break from the project. Life here has gotten slightly hectic and I am trying to find ways to simplify things a little bit. So I am taking a break from the project….but whenever I do make something new I promise to share it with you all. I will still be making and taking photos of the pieces I make. I just won’t be doing it as part of my year of recycled glass jewellery project.

Loving the colours in this recycled glass necklace featuring beads from all sorts of wine and champagne bottles.

Today’s earrings feature beads made from a Skyy Vodka bottle. I recently made a round pair of earrings similar to this, but today I opted for a more square finish. After I made them I thought – why have I never made them like this before! Love how they sit.

Inspired by Monday. I have to confess I had a bad case of Monday-itis this morning. Can honestly say I didn’t feel like making anything. Remembered that regardless I would still have to make something today. Sat down to make something and these beads appeared on my bench! I was like, OK I guess we are making a necklace today. Funny how sitting down to make something makes a little bit of magic happen. Love the vodka and gin bottle beads together. Quite unexpected really.
