Well it’s always interesting to try new things but it doesn’t always work. I had fairly high expectations for this little glass jar too. Oh well, try something new next week.

I have been making lots of long earrings lately, and sometimes people are surprised that I also make my own recycled sterling silver headpins. It’s another process in the studio. Starting with a long roll of recycled sterling silver wire I cut 11cm lengths of the wire, then using my torch I form the balls on the end, and then they go in a pickle solution to make them clean, and then they tumble for an hour or so to make them extra shiny.

I have used a mix of recycled glass beads in this pretty bracelet. I can see wine bottles, old glasses and pink Depression glass.

I couldn’t decide which way I preferred this necklace – horizontal or vertical? All sorts of recycled glass beads in this mix including glasses, beer and wine bottles.

Rectangle hoops featuring beads made from a Skyy Vodka bottle. Love this stunning colour. I have been testing the red version of these hoops today, very very cool look I have to say I have loved catching glimpses in the bathroom mirror!

Inspired by Monday. I have been making some beads for a special customer with much bigger holes than normal, so I thought I would see how they worked on a pendant and it turns out they work very nicely! This bead was made from a Bombay Sapphire Gin bottle.

Loving the matt and shiny finishes on these pieces. Such a soft way to contrast recycled glass beads. Beads made from gin and wine bottles.

Not my usual recycled glass story, but I was given some stained glass a while ago and asked if it might be useful. I picked a few colours and made these earrings. Yes, very useful! Thank you.

A bracelet featuring beads made from gin and champagne bottles. Really loving the green in between the silver and gold Gin bottle beads.
