Day 224. Ok the beads have come out of the kiln and this is the first pair of earrings from the batch! Thank you Ciara for the inspiration.
Day 224. Ok the beads have come out of the kiln and this is the first pair of earrings from the batch! Thank you Ciara for the inspiration.
Day 223. I asked Ciara to choose three other colours that looked nice with olive and pink. She chose these three colours (coral, green and dark yellow), and I am in the middle of making enough beads for a necklace and bracelet. Hopefully in a few days.
Day 222. Inspired by my beautiful daughter! She wasn’t feeling well the other day so I let her borrow some of my super warm pyjama pants in a dusty pink colour. She had an olive green jumper on and I could not take my eyes off the colour combination. I couldn’t wait to get on the torch yesterday to test some beads and was so happy when I saw these beads this morning! It’s funny where inspiration can come from. Thanks Ciara.
Day 221. Have you visited @tartscollective lately? I have a very diverse range of work there at the moment, and now is a good time to check it out because as part of our SALA exhibition we are having a competition, and the winner will receive a $100 gift voucher to spend in the shop!! New glass jewellery anyone? This set of jewellery will be headed to T’Arts in a week or two. It features beads that I have made from recycled and Italian glass, along with freshwater pearls.
Day 220. Stoked to be included as one of the 10 SALA exhibitions featured in SA Life this month! This simple pair of earrings features beads made from vodka and Banrock Station wine bottles.
Day 219. Today I was thinking about long recycled glass gin bottle earrings so I am testing out a couple of options here. I like both, for different reasons. I like the balance of the pair on the left, but I like having the blue bead in the middle like the one on the right. What do you think?
Day 218. I was curious to see the earrings from yesterday made in a slightly different way, loving all of the greens from @bethanywines_barossa wine bottles.
Day 217. A variation on yesterday’s gin and tonic flower earrings. Today I have used a Hendricks Limited Release gin bottle to make the purple beads.
Day 216. Gin and tonic flower earrings featuring Bombay Sapphire Gin and the bead in the middle is from a Fever-Tree tonic bottle.
Day 215. I was thinking that the bead on the top, which is made from a wine bottle and decorated with pixie dust, looked a bit like a pearl, so I put them with a big freshwater pearl and actually love the way they look together.
