Day 218. I was curious to see the earrings from yesterday made in a slightly different way, loving all of the greens from @bethanywines_barossa wine bottles.

Day 217. A variation on yesterday’s gin and tonic flower earrings. Today I have used a Hendricks Limited Release gin bottle to make the purple beads.

Day 216. Gin and tonic flower earrings featuring Bombay Sapphire Gin and the bead in the middle is from a Fever-Tree tonic bottle.

Day 215. I was thinking that the bead on the top, which is made from a wine bottle and decorated with pixie dust, looked a bit like a pearl, so I put them with a big freshwater pearl and actually love the way they look together.

Day 214. It’s funny, but 11 years ago I had a SALA exhibition at Lustre Galleries. The title was “Anti-Depression Glass” and it was a response to the global financial crisis of 2009. I used all sorts of recycled glass in that exhibition and I was very strict about how I used it too…no mixing glass colours! This year my SALA exhibition is a response to the 2020 global health pandemic, and I have very much eased many of the restrictions I would usually put in place with my jewellery. I have mixed recycled and Italian glass beads in the same necklace! I have even added pearls and copper enamel tubes. It has been a wonderful exhibition to put together and I am so proud of the work I have made. I wonder what 2031 will bring?! I hope you find some time to soak up all of the wonderful art that is on offer in this years @salafestival

Day 213. All set up at @stationmaster5255 gallery for @salafestival 2020! I am so grateful that this exhibition has gone ahead this year. I have had a lot of fun making the beads and jewellery for this exhibition. The gallery is open every day from 10am until 4pm, so hit the road and check it out! Let me know what you think.

Day 212. I think I am ready to set up my @salafestival exhibition! Today I have to label and price each item. I have made 52 new pieces of jewellery for this exhibition! I can’t wait to see it all installed at @stationmaster5255 gallery tomorrow. Ready for viewing August 1!

Day 211. Experiments with earrings….looks good on paper, a few issues with the construction, still needs to be fully resolved before I can make a pair. But, it’s a step in the right direction, better than just being on paper.
