A few more test heart-shaped beads to add to the collection! So much fun to make.

Remember my Musings from the Past competition? I invited people to show me their favourite pieces of jewellery that I had made. I got inspired by the first place simple heart necklace (swipe to see that one) and thought it would work perfectly for an upcoming exhibition at Pepper Street Gallery celebrating T’Arts 21st birthday alongside past and present members. I am digging into my past to create a new collection of jewellery. This is the first bead in the journey! Exhibition opens May 3.

I have loved my 17 years there and hope for many more. The birthday exhibition currently on display at T’Arts features some beautiful work from a great bunch of artists.

When one of your favourite customers has a beautiful dress that they would like to wear a bracelet with and they ask you to come up with something…I had a lot of fun arranging and rearranging beads for this bracelet until we got it just right! I love making custom orders for people.

Happy 21st Birthday @tartscollective ! What an incredible occasion celebrated with T’Arts both new and old. Great speeches by @harvey.joy and Nicola Spurrier. I am so proud to be a member of such a wonderful collective of artists. I know for sure this particular gallery is the difference between me being an artist and giving up. I have experimented, tried new things, made mistakes and grown a lot in the 17 years I have been part of this gallery. Grateful every time I get to work there. Here’s to the next 21 years!

I have a few pieces left in my online shop for this special release of jewellery made from a Prohibition Gin bottle, freshwater pearls and crystals. They will be available until midday tomorrow and after that they are going to T’Arts for their 21st birthday exhibition.

Two bracelets and two more earrings to add to the collection of new jewellery heading to @tartscollective for their 21st Birthday Celebration window display! The beads have been made from a Prohibition Gin bottle featuring my own special blend of frit to add a little bit of colour. Looking forward to heading in for the opening Next Sunday from 1-4pm. A new collection of jewellery to celebrate @tartscollective 21st Birthday! The opening for this exhibition will be on Sunday 3rd March from 1-4pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. I have used @prohibitionliquor gin bottles (made in South Australia) and a mix of beautiful freshwater pearls, crystals and gemstones. Can’t wait to see the exhibition all set up.
