Fioritura

“Fioritura” (Italian for blooming) is all about celebrating the beauty and joy of flowers, brought to life through handmade glass beads.

In recent years, I’ve become obsessed with growing flowers in my garden. I thought it would be easy, but I quickly learned there’s a lot more to it than just planting seeds and hoping for the best. From choosing the right varieties to preparing the soil and timing everything just right—there are so many ways to get it wrong. But that’s also what makes it exciting. Every bloom feels like a small victory, a reminder that patience and persistence pay off.

This exhibition is my way of capturing the happiness and vibrancy that flowers bring to our lives, but in a form that lasts forever.

I hope you enjoy this little glass garden as much as I loved creating it!

On display at T’Arts Collective from February 23 until March 29.

Colourful Necklaces

What do you do when you accumulate lots of small round beads from years of making extra beads? Make necklaces! I am so happy with how these necklaces turned out. I have made a couple of them. They are colourful, bright and happy pieces that can be worn every day.

Leaf beads

So happy with this! I never intended to add leaves to the mix, but a happy accident meant I ended up with a leaf press and I am so glad it did. I can’t wait to make more of these!

Leaf Press

I added a new press to my collection this week! This one can make leaf shapes, with a bit of help from me. Looking forward to testing it out more today. Happy with my first effort.

Everlasting flower vases

Just a little something I am playing around with. I am thinking of making some of these with flower sticks all ready to go in a lovely vase filled with coloured sand. An everlasting bunch of flowers. Would love to hear what you think…
