I have made some new work for the Flame On exhibition at Kirra Galleries. All of the beads have been made from assorted recycled glass objects/bottles, and decorated in various ways.

This month I have made a series of black and white jewellery. I love black and white together. I think it’s perfect for summer or winter actually, and works with so many other colours too.
I love this necklace. The clear glass gives it a lot of sparkle, and picks up the colours of what you are wearing. And the earrings sit really nicely, just below the lobe, and longer at the back. I think they might be some of my new favourites.

I have been making so many beads lately, I have lots of projects happening! I really need to find time to make some jewellery soon. These beads will be used for the Colour Play jewellery that I am making TODAY! I should have the work photographed and listed soon. Stay tuned!
The view from my studio today is all about the recycled glass beads that I have made for the Flame On exhibition opening at Kirra Galleries in Melbourne on July 13! I have some solid ideas for the jewellery, and now I just have to make it happen! I like to take my time with this part of the process, because it’s really important that when someone is wearing the jewellery that it sits nicely and feels comfortable.
I’ve been having fun with lots of colours this week!
I’m still working on the next colour play range of work, so instead of sharing that, I’ll just have to recap what I made this month! I’m so grateful that most of this jewellery has found a new home! Thanks for supporting my creative business. I love making new things to share with you. (Hint: click on the photo to take you to the shop)!
I have a range of Moet Champagne bottle jewellery available on my website and in my Etsy store now. This glass is such a lovely olive colour, and beautiful to work with. And, it has a really great story! An item destined for the bin, recycled into beautiful jewellery. What’s not to love?
There always seems to be something to try with these necklaces. Today, some fresh green beads!
And finally, it’s time to show you what I made in Yellow! I always find yellow a tricky colour to work with, because it’s not a particularly favourite colour of mine! But, I enjoyed making these yellow beads! I like how they turned out.

I do like a bit of red on a cold day! Red shoes, red earrings, a simple red necklace…all my favourite things to brighten my day.
I really like this style of necklace, and the earrings are simple, but a lovely splash of colour!
Both items are available in my online shop.
