I have 5 new posts to share with you for this month’s Colour Play!

So last month was quite grey, but this month is very colourful!  I’ve made 4 new necklaces (in 2 different styles), and 9 pairs of stud earrings.

I’m going to share the first set of stud earrings first!  I’m really excited about these earrings.  I’ve been wearing a test yellow pair for a week or so now, and I love the pop of colour that it gives me!  I tend to wear a lot of black/white/grey at the moment, and the yellow contrasts this perfectly.

The stud earrings are bigger and flatter than the studs I have been making.  They are available for sale in my NEW online shop!

Some new work in the window at T’Arts!

The final necklaces were made with a beautiful contrasting colour – yellow.  I love putting yellow with grey, and I love the shape and style of the beads in this necklace.  I also love the simplicity of these necklaces, along with the ease of wearing them.  Oh, I guess I saved the best for last!

So, after testing the 3 shades of grey on that style of necklace, I thought I would add a little bit more contrast with black and white.  I liked the idea of adding black and white, because as you might have already guessed….black plus white equals GREY!

I like the fine silver wire, it gives the beads some elegance, and the necklace is really nice to wear.  I prefer the etched version, but that’s my personal taste.

This month I have decided to make grey the feature colour!!

I am really drawn to grey at the moment, now that winter is getting closer.  I still find myself wearing a lot of black in the winter, so grey works perfectly with that.  Grey looks lovely with white too.

This first instalment is three shades of grey!  I used a light, medium and dark grey to make these beads, and then I etched them to take the shine off.  I thought I might have ended up with a bit more contrast, but I still like the result.  Quite elegant.
