Melbourne trip!

My work hanging in the Flame On exhibition at Kirra Galleries. Peroni Beer, Skyy Vodka, Coopers Sparkling Ale, Castaway Pear Cider, Banrock Station Wine bottle
Flame-working demonstrations outside Kirra Galleries.

We went to Melbourne on the weekend!  It was fantastic in so many ways.  The main reason for the visit was to see the Flame On exhibition at Kirra Galleries.  This was the weekend when they were having all sorts of flame-working demonstrations alongside the exhibition, so it was a great opportunity to see some other artists in action.

Plus I got to see MY work hanging in the gallery.  I was very nervous/excited/anxious to see it all really.  I wasn’t sure what to expect.  I was pleasantly surprised at the red sticker on one of the pairs of earrings!  I love the way the gallery hung my work.  I love seeing necklaces hung like this.

And I loved seeing the work of the other glass bead makers.  It was great to see such a diverse range of beads and jewellery being made.

I’ll post more about the trip throughout the week.
