Today it was time to make a bracelet, and as I had already made this leather necklace yesterday, and I had everything out to make more leather jewellery, I thought…why not make a simple leather bracelet? I like all of the assorted recycled glass beads in this bracelet, it’s simple and fun to wear.

Gin and champagne bottle bracelet
I like the mix of beads in this bracelet. Featuring beads from Tanqueray and Hendricks gin bottles, plus a French Champagne bottle.
A heck of a week…
Well, it’s been a heck of a week here, and I needed a little break from things to recover. I am reminded once again that I have two choices when it comes to dealing with tough stuff in my life: I can curl up in a ball and cry myself to sleep or I can choose to be strong and believe that everything happens for a reason and try to find the silver lining. The beads in this bracelet were made from a Banrock Station wine bottle.
Not quite the worst day ever, but pretty close….
I’m not going to lie. Today will make it into the top 5 of my worst days ever! I thought about not making something today, but then I thought maybe it would make me feel better. It hasn’t made my day any better, but it has helped me remember that life goes on.
Leftover earring beads
I think I posted about this recently with a different bracelet. But I do like having beads leftover after making earrings, because they make such pretty bracelets! I love the shape of these beads, and all of the colours just work together beautifully. These beads were made from a Banrock Station wine bottle.
Wine and Gin bracelet
I have been getting up super early, trying to get everything done. So I was feeling quite tired when it came to making a piece of recycled glass jewellery today. Combine that with not having a lot of time to spend on the piece.
And even though I wasn’t sure that this was quite right, I had to say to myself “just try it.” And I was quite pleased with how it looked when I tried it on!
Wine and gin bottle bracelet
I like making this style of bracelet because it’s nice to show a mix of beads in a bracelet, and they all sit really nicely on the wrist.
This bracelet features recycled glass beads made from wine and gin bottles.
End of day bracelet
Whenever I make earrings I always make extra beads, just so that when they come out of the kiln I am more likely to get a pair that matches fairly closely. What do I do with all of the leftover beads? This time I made a bracelet!
Trying old ideas…
As much as I love trying new things, I also love going back to colour combinations that I love too! Red, black and white are colours that I have loved for a very long time. I think they are classic, elegant and pretty much always in fashion, or at least always stylish!
Beads in this bracelet were made from gin and tonic water bottles.
Ode to spring
It’s no secret that I dislike winter. It’s just not for me. Give me sunshine and warmth any day. I made this bracelet as a tribute to spring. I was checking out my garden this morning, and it’s looking really pretty with new blossoms and leaves starting to make their way onto the trees. The wind makes it feel like spring is almost here (although it does mean it’s super cold too). And the patches of sunshine every now and then are lovely. But seriously….I’m ready for spring…NOW!
