Last week it was flower necklaces and earrings that were pretty in pink.
The week before that it all started with the most colourful rainbow of flowers!
This week! It’s time to see some colour play flowers that are neutral and classic! I think this is a necklace that you could wear with so many different things. A simple white shirt, a black top, or even wear it with more colourful clothes, like a red dress!
I love the black and white, and the three different shades of grey make it really interesting. Feel free to visit my shop here.
Firstly, a big thanks to everyone who sends me their empty gin bottles! I really do appreciate the effort you make to get them to me.
Secondly, the necklace I made as part of my year of recycled glass jewellery. Today is day 53, yes that’s right, I have made 53 pieces of jewellery from recycled glass so far this year! Lots more to come, lots more ideas in the notebook, lot of things I still want to try.
So, this necklace is super long! It can be worn long, doubled or even tripled over. The beads were made from a Hendricks Gin bottle and a Banrock Station wine bottle. I love the splash of gold seed beads in amongst all of the black and clear and grey beads, they add a lovely pop of colour to this monochrome necklace.
If you’ve known me for any amount of time, you’ll know that I love black and white! In fact, most of my clothes are black and/or white, and most of my accessories are RED. So, when I saw that this summer was shaping up to be quite neutral, I was quite pleased! I decided to make a range of jewellery to complement the season.
This week, I am sharing the necklaces that I made on leather. The first necklaces features small white beads on black leather, and it is actually my favourite of the entire collection (and the one I thought I would like the least when I was planning the work)! It is a versatile necklace that works with pretty much everything that I wear.
The second necklace features black and white beads on red leather. Super funky, I also really liked this necklace, as it has all of my favourite colours!
The pictures below will take you to my online shop, where you can also see more of the jewellery that I have made.
This is part of a series of posts about colour. This month I am focusing on the colour red.
What looks good with red? Black and white and grey look really good with red!
You can add a touch of red to the necklace, or simply go with shades of black, white and grey.
I wear a lot of red, and I also wear a lot of black…so I would probably choose the black and white necklace with a splash of red in it!
